DIY Maltose Squishy Skins

Size

Empty skins, ten at a time, so you can fill them yourself. This is a craft supply, not a finished toy: ten transparent ball skins waiting for whatever maltose, fruit paste or gel you want to put in them. Sold in 4 cm, 5 cm and 6 cm.

What You Are Actually Buying

Ten empty, unfilled transparent shells. There is no gel, no beads and no filling included — you supply that. If you were expecting a ready-to-squeeze toy, every other maltose product in this shop is already filled.

Why People Make Their Own

Control over the filling. Home-made maltose, fruit paste, glitter mixes and layered fills all behave differently, and the only way to get exactly the viscosity you want is to do it yourself. It is also the cheapest way to end up with ten squishies.

Choosing a Size

4 cm is pocket sized and the easiest to fill neatly. 5 cm is the standard. 6 cm holds noticeably more and takes longer to set, but gives the slowest, heaviest squeeze once it is done.

What You Get

  • 10 × empty transparent squishy ball skins
  • Choice of 4 cm, 5 cm or 6 cm
  • Filling is not included — this is a craft supply
  • Recommended age 14+ for the assembly itself
  • Finished toys should be kept away from children under 3

Care and When to Stop Using It

Do not bite, puncture, twist or overstretch the skin. The gel inside is sealed and non-toxic, but a torn skin cannot be repaired and the toy should be thrown away rather than patched. Keep it away from sharp objects, radiators and direct sunlight, and wipe it with a barely damp cloth rather than soaking it. If the surface ever turns greasy instead of dry, retire it.

Fill slowly and leave a small air gap — overfilled skins split at the seam within days.
