Pull it and it stretches into slow, heavy strands. Maltose squishies imitate thick malt syrup, and this is the purest version of that: stretch it between both hands and it thins into a ribbon, let go and it pools back into shape over a few seconds.

Stretch, Drape, Slow Return

This sits between two other textures in the shop. A vaseline squishy keeps whatever shape you give it; a foam dumpling springs back in two seconds. Maltose flows — it sags, it drapes over your fingers, and it finds its own shape again without you helping.

Translucent on Purpose

The body is clear enough that you watch the stretch happen, and the tinted versions catch light along the strand as it thins. It is the most visual of the gel textures and the one that performs best in a slow-motion clip.

Three Colourways

Sky blue, pink and light yellow, all translucent. The blue reads coldest and shows the stretch most clearly; the yellow looks most like the syrup it is named after.

What You Get

  • 1 × maltose stretch squishy
  • Thick, translucent syrup-texture body
  • Stretches into strands and slowly reforms
  • Sky blue, pink or light yellow
  • Ages 3+ · Small parts · Adult supervision for younger children

Care and When to Stop Using It

Do not bite, puncture, twist or overstretch the skin. The gel inside is sealed and non-toxic, but a torn skin cannot be repaired and the toy should be thrown away rather than patched. Keep it away from sharp objects, radiators and direct sunlight, and wipe it with a barely damp cloth rather than soaking it. If the surface ever turns greasy instead of dry, retire it.

Stretch it steadily rather than yanking — two or three times its resting length is plenty.
