Every spike bends, and the whole thing crunches. The spikes are soft rubber that folds under your grip rather than poking, and they act like a sounding board for the bead core underneath — this is the loudest crunchy fruit we stock. It shares nothing with the real durian except the shape.

Why the Spikes Make It Louder

A smooth ball muffles the beads inside it. The ridged, spiked surface does the opposite: it transmits the movement outward, so the same core reads noticeably sharper here than it does in a round fruit. Squeeze it near your ear once and the difference is obvious.

Texture You Can Feel Without Looking

Between the spikes your fingers find valleys, and the grip changes depending on where you hold it. That makes it a better blind fidget than a smooth shape — you can work it under a desk without looking at what your hand is doing.

No, It Does Not Smell

The only thing this shares with the fruit is the silhouette. It is unscented foam, skin and beads, which is worth saying out loud given the reputation of the original.

What You Get

  • 1 × handmade durian crunch squishy
  • Soft bendable spikes over a crispy skin and bead core
  • Solid plastic beads — no water beads, nothing that expands
  • Completely unscented
  • Ages 3+ · Small parts · Adult supervision for younger children

Care and When to Stop Using It

Do not bite, puncture, overstretch or pull the outer skin, as this can damage the toy and release the filling. The beads inside are solid plastic — they are not water beads and do not expand — but they are still small parts. Keep it away from sharp objects, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Wipe gently with a barely damp cloth and let it dry completely before storing. If the skin splits or the filling starts to escape, stop using it and throw it away.

Grip it across the spikes rather than pulling on them — they bend freely but they do not like being tugged.
